FAQ
What clients usually ask
Why not cross-platform (Tauri/Flutter)?+
If you only need Windows, native is faster (cold start, RAM, native UI feel). For multi-platform: Cross-Platform 4900 EUR is cheaper.
WinUI 3 or WPF — which do we use?+
WinUI 3 for modern UI (Fluent Design, dark mode, Win 11 look). WPF if you still need to support Win 10 / older hardware.
What does the EV certificate cost?+
~300 EUR/year (e.g. from Sectigo / DigiCert). Without EV: Windows shows SmartScreen warning on first download.
Microsoft Store needed?+
Not required — direct download from your website works. Store listing only useful if you want reach via store.
Can I support ARM64 later?+
Yes, ARM64 build as add-on 590 EUR. .NET 8 supports ARM64 natively — we just build an additional target.
Which database do you recommend?+
SQLite for single user. LiteDB for embedded NoSQL. SQL Server Express if you want multi-user server DB later.
