Accessibility Statement

techlogia is committed to making the techlogia.de website and the Lab learning platform accessible in line with applicable digital accessibility regulations. This statement applies to techlogia.de including the Lab learning platform at techlogia.de/lab.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA / EN 301 549 and BITV 2.0 — "partially" solely because of the clearly delimited limitations listed below. The public pages pass an automated accessibility test (Google Lighthouse, as of 15 June 2026) without findings; the key criteria that require manual review (keyboard operation, focus order and focus management, landmark structure) were additionally verified manually.

Already Implemented

  • Language marking — the page language is set in a machine-readable way (WCAG 3.1.1)
  • Skip-to-content link — a "skip to main content" link is the first keyboard-reachable element on every public page (WCAG 2.4.1)
  • Keyboard operation — interactive elements are reachable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator (WCAG 2.4.7)
  • Semantic labelling — controls and form fields are labelled for screen readers via ARIA attributes; dialogs are marked up as such (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2)
  • Status messages — success, error and result messages are actively announced to screen readers (WCAG 4.1.3)
  • Focus management — when moving between steps (e.g. in the project configurator) focus is directed to the new heading; menus and dialogs can be closed with the Escape key without trapping focus (WCAG 2.4.3)
  • Contrast — text and UI-component contrasts meet the Level AA minimum requirements (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • Reduced motion — animations are reduced when the system preference "reduce motion" is active (WCAG 2.3.3)
  • Responsive, clear design — light background, calm typography and a mobile-first layout for good readability

Non-accessible Content

The following content is not yet fully accessible for the reasons given:

  • Browser terminal in the Lab — the interactive terminal window of the exercise VM is only partially operable with screen readers. The associated theory content and tasks are available as structured, low-barrier text.
  • No external audit — the assessment is based on an internal self-evaluation; a formal review by an external BITV 2.0 testing body is still pending.

Preparation of This Statement

This statement was created on 31 May 2026 and last updated on 15 June 2026. The assessment is based on a self-evaluation of the platform against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria — combining an automated test (Google Lighthouse) with a manual review of the criteria that cannot be tested automatically (including focus order, focus management, landmark structure and keyboard operation).
