Techlogia app changelog¶
What changed in the Techlogia app for iPhone and Android. Newest version first.
Current app version: 1.4.0
The app has its own version number, shown in the App Store or in the app under Account → About. It is not the same as the version of the learning platform (Lab) — those changes are listed under What's new.
v1.4.0 — 8 August 2026¶
The terminal on your phone, done right
- Delete works again. The backspace key on your phone keyboard now really deletes a character in the terminal. Before, nothing happened.
- New Ctrl key. Ctrl+C stops a running program, Ctrl+X quits nano. Without it, some programs were a dead end.
- Help for editors. Start nano or vim and the app shows the keys you need, explaining in one sentence what to do — instead of guessing shortcuts.
- Stay signed in. The app renews your session by itself before it runs out. And when it really has expired, it tells you — instead of leaving you on empty pages.
- No sign-out in a dead spot. Start the app without internet or ride through a tunnel, and you stay signed in.
- Screenshots on tickets. Attach images and files when you create a ticket or reply. Images show right in the thread.
- Download your data. Settings → Data. You get everything stored for your account.
- Quick feedback. At the bottom of the Lab, tell us in two sentences what you noticed — without opening a ticket.
- How long you get security updates. Now shown in the app under Settings → Security updates.
v1.3.0 — 28 July 2026¶
More for you as a learner
- Your certificates in the app. Every module you finish shows up in your profile — share it as a PDF or prove it is genuine with a verify link.
- Daily allowance always visible. "2 of 3 VMs left today" — the app shows what you have left before you start. Three VMs a day stay free forever.
- Live Activity on the lock screen. Your running VM with a countdown, even when the app is closed (iPhone, iOS 16.2 and newer).
- My class. School learners see their class with school and teacher right in their profile.
- Search. Find any lesson or blog article in seconds — even offline, because search runs on your device.
- Continue reading. The app remembers where you stopped and takes you back to exactly that spot.
- Personal notes. Write down what you want to remember for any lesson. Stays on your device, just for you.
- Daily study reminder. Pick a time and the app nudges you once a day. Switch it off whenever you like.
- New onboarding. Explains in plain words how the app works — read a lesson, start a VM, solve the tasks.
- Better offline. Lessons, help articles and news are readable without a connection; the app pre-loads them in the background.
- Safer. A confirmation before every settings toggle, draft protection in the support form, and many improvements under the hood.
v1.2.1 — 20 July 2026¶
The app is now all about the Lab
- New start. The app opens right in the Techlogia Lab — your learning app for Linux on real servers with their own public IP.
- Notification bell. See immediately when your support ticket gets a reply or an update, and jump straight into the conversation.
- The app talks to you. A greeting that follows the time of day and daily rotating tips showing what the app can do.
- Calmer loading. Pages show their skeleton first and fade content in smoothly — no jumping, no flickering, even on a bad connection.
- Clear feedback. Bookmarks and "mark all as read" confirm every action instantly.
- Fresh splash screen with the logo, plus many small improvements.
