EduPlaces SSO (school login)

Techlogia Lab is live in the EduPlaces catalogue. Schools using EduPlaces (or IServ with EduPlaces) sign in with their school account — no extra password, no separate registration. The first 14 days are free.

How teachers & students sign in

  1. On the Lab login page, choose "Continue with EduPlaces".
  2. EduPlaces/IServ confirms identity and school — no Techlogia password needed.
  3. Back in the Lab: teachers land in the teacher area, students in the student area.

The existing email/password login keeps working in parallel — EduPlaces is an additional way in, not a replacement.

The first teacher automatically becomes school admin

When the first teacher of a school signs in via EduPlaces, their school is created in Techlogia automatically and that teacher receives the school-admin role. They can then:

  • manage the school's other teachers (see Manage teachers),
  • keep an eye on the school licence / trial.

Every further teacher of the same school comes in via EduPlaces as a regular teacher. The school-admin role can be transferred in the teacher area.

The school is linked automatically

School name, location and official school number flow over directly from EduPlaces — no typing, no mix-ups. Class/teacher assignment is tenant-separated: each school sees only its own data.

Importing classes & groups from EduPlaces

Automatic import of classes and groups (IDM roster sync) is prepared: once the group scopes are enabled with EduPlaces, the school's classes/groups are created in Techlogia automatically on teacher login and students are assigned to the right classes — no manual setup.

Status

Until the group scopes are active, teachers create their classes themselves as usual (see Manage classes). Student login via EduPlaces works independently of this.

Privacy

  • Privacy-first for students: we need no birth date — EduPlaces and the school handle the age check (Art. 8 GDPR).
  • Pseudonymous logins supported: students appear under a school-issued ID, not real names.
  • EU servers, GDPR-compliant. For IServ schools, no extra DPA is required.
  • EduPlaces only confirms identity and school — your Techlogia progress, classes and students stay with us.
